32ND FOUNDATION DAY OF TAI

Many congratulations to all on the 32ND FOUNDATION DAY OF TAI. When I formed “Taekwon-Do Association of India” in 1991 at the beginning I was walking alone but had the moral & Technical support of the beloved Founder and Father of Taekwon-Do Gen. Choi Hong Hi and Grand Master Dr. Leong Wai Meng, Technical Advisor of TAI.

I remember, that to develop the original Taekwon-Do in India I sacrificed my lucrative career as a Banker and also as a Lawyer.

At that time when I started there was no Martial Art School which cultivated the students of morality. My main purpose was to give a platform to all those interested and who lacked the opportunity to higher education to find a respectful living by teaching Taekwon-do as found by the beloved founder Gen. Choi Hong Hi and following strictly the OATH & Tenets of Taekwon-do thus paving way to a practitioner to develop his mind and body which ultimately makes him or her a good citizen which leads to find peace within oneself.

Also one of the main objective in forming this Federation/Association was to provide authentic, high quality instruction and opportunities for students who are very keen to promote themselves in Taekwon-do physically and mentally which was found to be lacking in many Taekwon-do schools in India in particular Delhi.

TAI’s students represented the country in 111 international events upto now. And TAI conducted up to now the following events till date for exposure ITF Taekwon-DO and continue to work for the benefit of the masses of India for their health and wellbeing.

1-world Championships, 3-International Championships, 1-Asian Championships, 3-South Asian Championships, 37-National Championships, 50-Zonal Championships, 8-International Seminars, 1-Asian Seminar, 2-South Asian Seminar, 82-National Technical Seminar, 24-National Umpire Seminars.

Finally, I thank Prof. Chang Ung the Life President and Prof. Master Ri Yong Son the President of ITF for their support I received in the past 32 years which kept me and my Instructors motivated.
